The life of a family in Ancient Pompei

The life of one family deduced by the ruins of their house in Pompeii. The House of the Faun is the largest house inside the walls of Pompeii, that has been found under the layers of lava and ash which 'froze' the city about 1800 years ago. The House is very nature orientated and the family had firm roots in the past, as they had refused to change to a more modern style after the earthquake hit and damaged some of the structural work. This family obviously had strong ties to their house as when the House was excavated they found some family members in the Tablinium clutching some of their family jewels and the family crest.
