Urinary system

The urinary system removes wastes from the blood and forms it into urine. The urine produced usually contains excess water, ions, urea and other toxic substances. …ion The nephrons of the kidneys secrete hygrogen ions into the urine and therefore can directly regulate pH of the body fluids. The data shows that the more water that enters the system, the more is reabsorbed, and the volume of urine increases. This experiment also shows that the buffer systems attack the change in pH relatively quickly. On Specimen 4, the kidneys attacked the hydrogen ions. The sodium bicarb solution was eliminated in approximately 60 minutes.
