…as though America was not invincible and with the aid of television coverage, the dark side of war was broadcast all over the country. With the violently negative Vietnamese view of American government along with the negative views by America's own citizens, the era of the Vietnam War was destructive to both U.S. moral and trust in the government. In a war that was initially intended to protect peace, the only outcome was controversy.
