What Patriotism Means to Me.

In the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, we are seeing many forms of patriotism. I believe that patriotism is actively showing your support for your country by standing up for your beliefs, showing honor and respect for our soldiers, and staying loyal to our president. By saying "standing up for your beliefs" I mean, for instance, that if someone started walking around town with ice cream in their pockets and you didn't like it, then …

…stupid old man" and whatnot. In order to have true patriotism, you must always be loyal to our president. Hopefully, more and more people will realize that through the good and the bad you have to tough it out, no matter what comes along. The only way we will get through it is by showing our support for our country by standing up for your beliefs, honoring our soldiers, and staying loyal to our president.
