What is an American? Describes what I believe an American and what "Americanism" is

What is an American To answer this question several facets of the American society must first be examined and evaluated. Language is traditionally distinguishes culture. Because Americans are only constrained by the limits of our their imagination, there is no thread that is the commonality of "Americanism." An American is free to go wherever we want, pursue the dreams we want, believe whatever we want, and not be subject to harsh criticisms. Americans are what they believe.
