Women of Egypt/ King Tutankhamen

…Ankhesenpahton tried to remarry with someone else. This is evidence that women of Egypt had some freedom since in most cultures, women especially the wives of deceased kings were not allowed to remarry. Women of this time period had power enough to do whatever they wanted but they were not set as equal to the men. Nevertheless, they had their own decisions to make and were not as manipulated by their husbands like most cultures.
