Women's Role in Chinese History Traditionally, Chinese women were limited to a relatively small role in society. Women inferiority to men was heavily stressed since the feudal days of China. …as before. In most families, household tasks are divided between the male and the female. Chinese women now are challenging men in their professions as well, including the ones that were traditionally dominated by men. They are slowly struggling from being an inferior role, into an important need for the growth of the society. Though gender equality still seems distant, the nation will eventually reach this goal if the whole Chinese society works for it.
