In my mind I was not sure what to expect. I knew that I was going to the Northbranch Restoration Project to aid in the effort and to get a better understanding of the book I had just read, Miracle Under the Oaks. …being in nature was completely different from what I argued about in class. Just standing in the field and using my five senses was a different experience from my daily life. It was like when one does yoga and tries to attain a sense of peace within oneself. The trip helped me to gain insight of why we need to help retain biodiversity and why we need to learn more of how natural processes occur.
