In 1997, the nation was shaken by the death of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) student, Scott Krueger. Krueger, a freshman, has died from alcohol poisoning with his blood-alcohol level was at five times the legal limit in Massachusetts. Among these victims, 3 out of 4 incidents reported to have involved an offender who has been drinking. There are no magic potions that will solve the long term problem of binge drinking. There many factors that contribute to this problem, however, there are many solutions needed to decrease the problem.
