A Christmas Carol

The Victorian age contributed several things to modern day Britain with the growth of industries rather that agriculture. But with the growth of industry in 1833 also came the poor working conditions and low pay. Under the command of Queen Victoria not much really changed in the slums of London in the beginning. Scrooge slightly startled entered the house, before shutting the door he looked cautiously behind it. Scrooge went around the house as if he was in search for something or someone. After believing all was clear he headed to his room to prepare himself for bed.
