A critical comparison of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde original book version vs. a film version of the story

Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde have evolved into one of the most acclaimed pieces of literature in modern American society. …e possessed all the characteristics that Dr. Jekyll lacked. It is quite ironic to imagine that Dr. Jekyll, a distinguished, influential, and well-like gentleman, actually was a "whore" at heart. This in turn, causes him to reveal his inner inhibitions, all of which could have been seen in Hyde. In the movie, Mr. Hyde puts it best when he yells out in a fit of excitement "free at last, free at last, free at last".
