America is a democratic nation. The word democratic sets our government apart from the majority of the world's nations. Dictators control many countries, which is unlike our wonderful democratic system, so we should consider ourselves blessed. Although we live in one of the fairest countries in the world, there are still many issues that our political system brings about. …our society and simply have the ability to affect the public so dramatically that these problems will eventually find its way into our political system and cause even more problems. Changing society's opinions, nothing more, and nothing less can solve the solution to our governmental issues. Trying to change the American democratic process from within the government will only solve temporary ones problems. Changed attitudes affect people more than broken promises for a better tomorrow.
