…on more than their original meaning. Through out the years people have enjoyed these stories for what they are, and finding deeper meaning in them to help cope with events in life. The end of the story shows the downfall of Beowulf but shows hope as he is buried on a hill with a beautiful view. The reader is given the feeling that something terrible has happened, but that something beautiful may come of it.
