Book Report on 'Red Sky In The Morning By Elizabeth Laird'

I have read 'Red Sky in the Morning' by Elizabeth Laird. It is a novel based on the life of a mature teenage girl called Anna Peacock. The story is told by the main character in the first person. It is a family drama and as it is told in the first person. I was able to get a great idea of what Anna feels and what she thinks. This can be bad though because …

…has no idea what a normal life is like. The plot is very good as it has good turning points for instance, when Anna's friends find out about Ben and when Ben dies. I think the ending was a bit abrupt and leaves the reader wondering what Anna will do in the future. What will she do now? This ending is ok for this type of book but I think it could have been better.
