In the 1800s, England was powered by the Anglican Church and nobody could disagree with their views/opinions. Everyone still believed the bible told the 'real' story of how life came to be. …are specialization and speciation. A good example of this is the Galapagos finches. On Darwin's voyage on the H.M.S Beagle to the Galapagos Islands, he noticed the variation in the Finch species. Darwin knew there was one species of Finch on the mainland of South America, but in the Galapagos he discovered 13 different species. Each of the species had different traits to benefit their environments: their beaks varied, depending on their food source.
