Childhood Play

Where did the traditional childhood play go? In the passage "The End of Play," written by Marie Winn, she talks about the disappearance of the traditional make-believe, jump-rope, and ball bouncing play activity. …as technology keeps advancing and new materials are created, kids will continue to find new ways of entertaining themselves. The traditional and present games will be considered boring and will become forgotten. Children will no longer find the things that they are currently playing with satisfactory because the new ideas are different and more stimulating. Eventually the toys this generation that are entertained will be considered the old and boring toys of the future generations.
