Reasons for joining the National Honor Society I first became interested in The National Honor Society (ARISTA) after discussing the top clubs in John F. Kennedy with my friend. …Our schools are being exposed to more violence because of the formation of gangs, which encourage youth to steal, intimidate, and carry weapons, become involved in drugs, fight, and sometimes kill. How it saddens me to hear that a young life has been so needlessly destroyed. I believe I could make major contributions to helping others by volunteering at schools, hospitals and the society at large if I am accepted to the National Honor Society.
