Comparative essay between "Miguel Street" and "Lives of Girls and Women."

Both buildungsromans show the maturation of a character who is influenced by their environment, family and friends. At the ending of both novels the narrators realize that they have made mistakes, and they decide to change their life and leave their childhood environment behind them.
