Conflicts in The Scarlet

Throughout The Scarlet Letter many conflicts unfolded and many where told about, but still keep in the dark. Mr. Hawthorne Beautifully wove a bountiful amount of conflicts into his classic work of literature. One character that was confronted with numerous conflicts was Arthur Dimmesdale. First his conflicts with the society helped to explain the theme of Hypocrisy expressed in the book. His conflicts with Hester and Chillingworth showed the themes of Love and Lust. His personal Conflicts bring to better light the theme of guilt and the dependence of inner peace over outer peace.
