After Elizabeth is informed of the extent to which Darcy helps her family with the financial problem, which was the fault of Wickham, she is overcome with admiration and respect. Her admiration soon turns to love. Mr. Darcy's generosity towards the Bennet family changes her opinion and regard for him.
