…Instead of being greedy, he's fair. Instead of being naturally evil, he does what he is taught by his oppressors and he emphasizes the humanity that a Jew is capable of. Shylock is a completely different person then the Jew who represents the stereotypical Jew. He is a person discriminated upon because he follows a religion with a bad reputation, he ought not be attack for his label because he is simply just another person.
