…itself instead of "simply a half-forgotten child hood memory", Proyas explains to us that humanity is above merely it's memories but it's feeling as Murdoch again meets Emma, who has been implanted with a different memory. "I know I love you," says Emma "and you can't fake that" It is a mental exploration of John Murdoch's humanity from the sterile and cold viewpoint of the Strangers that ultimately results in more than they can handle.
