…and should be abolished. Just by ending this grotesque procedure will save taxpayer millions of dollars every year. Also until there is a way to be one hundred percent sure an innocent person won't be murdered, the death penalty isn't a sound solution for any crime. The death penalty has been around as a part of the criminal justice system since the beginning of time, but it shouldn't be around until the end of it.
