One of the most important questions addressed in Death of a Salesman is that Biff has inherited his fathers twisted concept of success, and struggles throughout the play with trying to come to terms with it. However, ultimately success is a state of mind which is not defined by money and social prestige. Thus each individual must overcome his false views of success in order to "fly free."
