Introduction SBC is vigorously employing Internet technology, in many divisions of the company. This paper looks at only two divisions: retail and wholesale. SBC retail offers wire line and wireless services communications to the general public. Conclusion SBC not only uses Internet Technology, it's actively trying to gain advantages by connecting its legacy systems and databases to its customers' use of the internet. The recently well publicized initiative to increase coverage of wire line Broadband and wireless connectivity for mobile devices and laptops helps to create even more interest in, and activity on, the World Wide Web.
