The gap between the middle and upper class is growing because the rich are lobbying government officials to change the rules and regulations that protect the middle class from the rich. She says that companies that had created jobs in the past are now downsizing in order to gain more total revenue and do …

…she gives no support for her position. It is true that many wealthy people do take advantage of the system, but it is also true that many do not. Her argument is not helpful in trying to understand why there is such a large gap between the middle and upper class. If she did more research and did not write a one sided essay she would be able to convince more readers of her position.
