Air strikes and ground troops cannot change the simple fact that the countries of the Muslim world have not gone through their transformation yet; they have not experienced the Enlightenment or the subsequent revolutions that the Western world went through almost 400 years ago to get to where it is today. And until they do they will never be able to see eye-to-eye, or perhaps more importantly, stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their brothers from the West.
