The tragedy that occurs in Macbeth, is that he succumbs to the evil that be, like Eve in the Garden of Eden; thereby, Macbeth secures his place of eternal damnation in hell. Instead of triumphing over evil temptation, Macbeth is engulfed and devoured by it.
