Harriet Tubman Biography

The savior of so many black slaves during the 1700's, the "black Moses" of all slaves. The person I am referring to is the late Harriet Tubman. She single handedly led 300 slaves from station to station and finally to freedom, 300 black slaves. She was born in 1820 on a plantation in the state of Maryland. Even with old age Harriet still contributed her time by doing things such as fundraising black schools, and telling women they had the right to vote, which would later bring way to the protest of women's rights. Harriet lived until the ripe old age of ninety three, giving until the end. She was an important figure for the black community during the times of slavery and will never be forgotten for her actions.
