Due to the frequent bloody wars between France & Germany during 1870-1945 a number of European leaders in the late 1940's decided that the only way to secure a lasting peace between the two chief belligerent nations was to unite then economically & politically. …amp;amp; the Netherlands in May & June 2005 rejected the constitution, the erosion of national cultures & the imposition of several regulations from the E.U. capital in Brussels have been questioned by various countries. If all member states fail to ratify the constitution or if newcomer countries fail to meet Euro currency standards some E.U. agreements may be forced loosen & perhaps lead to several levels of E.U. participation.
