How Mr Darcy's Character Develops in Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin

Austen uses devices and techniques to develop the characters in the book "Pride and Prejudice", a good example of how she does this is seen by looking at Mr Darcy. Mr Darcy's character develops slowly throughout the play and we start knowing very little to finding out more information through the book. When we first meet the character Mr Darcy in chapter three at a ball, we see he is a friend of Mr Bingley …

…Lizzy shred their own Pride and Prejudice and this with the engagement of Lizzy and Darcy shows a happy ending for the both of them. Also it seems that Mr Darcy has left all his arrogance and bad points behind and that he has fixed all his wrong, as Mr Bingley and Jane do become engaged too. Austen creates this "happy" ending so we acknowledge that once Pride and Prejudice are abolished happiness is possible.
