Hubris

Daedalus is a man and God did not create men with the ability to fly. In the myth involving Daedalus and Icarus the men are blinded by their pride and the belief that they know the best way out of their predicament. …blindness and this blindness leads to destruction. Destruction can come in many forms, including a failed paper or death. Pride is, in my opinion, the belief that I know best. This is a lie that deceives even the strongest of heart, including the powerful, intelligent men of Greek mythology. As long as there is something to learn, I must distance myself from hubris. It will only lead to faulty advice and a misleading path. Always.
