The most direct difference between wisdom and knowledge is this: knowledge is only information, until it is successfully retained in one's mind. Without a brain, knowledge is simply information, whereas the application of knowledge, or wisdom, cannot exist without a mind, not being something that one can read about or memorize, because if there is no brain, there is no wisdom.
