Night

Eliezer, Eli, narrates Night. He is a Jewish teenager who lives in Hungarian Transylvania. He studies the Torah and Cabbala but his studies are cut off when his teacher, Moshe the Beadle is deported. Moshe returns after several months and he talks about the Gestapo, who were the German secret police force, who came onto his train and made everybody go to the woods and then butchered them. …also understood how this was just the Nazis saying we are taking you to a concentration camp it was more of a slow torture leading up to being taken to a concentration camp. Then the concentration camp itself was another slow torture to death unless you were strong. I think that teenagers who learn about the Holocaust should read this book to truly understand what went on and how it truly affected the Jewish people.
