…since this play was written and views have changed. I don't believe that some supreme being has the power to control my life, only I have the power to do that. <Tab/>I don't believe in fate, but Oedipus Rex still appeals to me. Sophocles believed in fate, and this story made me wonder about whether or not I can control my life. Do you believe in fate or free will?
