Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration
Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration part one, Photosynthesis <Tab/>Photosynthesis is when plants use the sun to create usable forms of energy. First I will explain the light reaction which takes place in the chloroplast. When light is absorbed by the chlorophyl, an electron is excited to a higher energy level in the chlorophyl and is captured by the primary acceptor. The oxidized chlorophyl is now a very strong oxidizing agent and
chain is located in the cristae of the mitochondrion and is made up of mostly proteins. High energy electrons are carried to the electron transport chain by NADH and as the electrons "fall", electrons are accepted and donated by the nonprotein components. Along the chain, ATP is created. At the "bottom" of the chain, oxygen is left over and there are hydrogen waiting at the bottom. The oxygen joins with the hydrogen and creates water.
