The topic that we are studying is loss. These two texts are both about loss and the harm and suffering of losing someone very close but show very different views and emotions about the same topic. …are both about death of a loved one interestingly though they express different views and use different techniques to put forth the most fulfilling words and ideas to express their feelings about the situation. It has shown me that people manage with grief differently and feel different things with grief. Studying these texts has helped me understand how songs and poems are a very effective and powerful way of showing grief that comes from loss.
