The story "Shiloh" is about two people who feel in love many years ago and have fallen apart since Leroy, the husband, was a truck driver. While Leroy was gone Norma Jean always put herself to work to keep herself busy. She also spent a lot of time with her mother, Mabel. Leroy also noticed that they just happened to be sitting next to the cemetery, maybe to bury the end of their relationship before they left. Of course Shiloh had a big impact on all the characters in the story, especially Leroy and Mabel. Leroy because he ended a relationship here and Mabel, who started a very special relationship at Shiloh.
