Shelley's Adonais

Throughout time poets have used many different instruments to portray their ideas. In some instances they have used similes, metaphors, and even symbols to exemplify their poetry. Poets feel that by substituting their ideas and actions into symbols, helps the reader to gain a better understanding of the poem, and make the poem more beautiful.
