Should Executions of Capital Offenders be Televised?

Writing an opinion related to Capital Punishment stirred a great many feelings in me. I am not comfortable with capital punishment in the first place, and trying to imagine it televised to me is incomprehensible and outrageous. I feel that viewing it on television will not be beneficial in any way. Watching an agonizing end of one's life will not prevent a potential criminal from committing a crime. …suspended from a noose? I strongly disagree. I hate Capital Punishment. I also agree that there are acts that warrant it, but I don't want to see it on my television. We should give the wretched criminal the peace or dignity of dying without making it a public event, a circus. After all, we, the good guys, are supposed to be better than they who so often ended someone else's life without peace or dignity.
