Story VS. Myth

In the two stories "Pygmalion," by, Bernard Shaw and the myth, "Pygmalion," by Ovid, there are similarities and differences which makes one story reminiscent of another, and yet unique enough to set them apart from each other. Instead of taking things at face value, the storie "Pygmalion," by, Bernard Shaw and the myth, "Pygmalion," by Ovid, show us that we must look deep into peoples motives: is what they are doing truly going to help the other person, or will they merely be helping themselves?
