The book Silent Spring by Rachel Carson is a very informative book, as well as a plea for help for our evanescing environment. In her book, Carson writes about all of the harmful effects of various deadly insecticides on our environment, as well as us. …exposed us to these hazardous chemicals that were being used everyday. I hope others appreciate this book as well, because it provides us with proof that we are putting our pets, our entire earth, and ourselves in serious danger by using these chemicals. Partly in thanks to her, these chemicals were banned from use in insecticides. In the long run, Rachel Carson saved us from a certain destruction of our own earth and eventually, ourselves.
