I hope others appreciate this book as well, because it provides us with proof that we are putting our pets, our entire earth, and ourselves in serious danger by using these chemicals. Partly in thanks to her, these chemicals were banned from use in insecticides. In the long run, Rachel Carson saved us from a certain destruction of our own earth and eventually, ourselves.
