…the supernatural is the basis for explaining the evils of man and the confusions that can reap the minds of someone who is willing to believe everything, and everyone that they hear. As you can see, Shakespeare uses the supernatural to outline the facts that the only reason these 'supernatural' things are happening, is because of the unstable minds and hearts of the Macbeth's, and to symbolize the evil that the book is based on.
