…Eliot wanted the poem to be difficult and he no doubt believed its difficulty to be an important aspect in its total meaning. I have learned a lot about T. S. Eliot in all the various readings I have done. What I learned was that Eliot was a very intelligent yet complicated man. He had very strong moral convictions and was determined to try and influence mankind. He had a profound impact on American Literature.
