In France there was a widespread hunger and poverty, particularly in the cities where the inflation was running out of control. However, the ruling classes were oblivious to the sufferings of their people, failing to realize the potential that angry mobs have ability to produce anarchy. In comparison both countries were having same conditions. Therefore, all the nobles, King, and Queen were having very good life while lower classes were suffering.
