…an example by Leopold, he discussed about the famous book, The Great Gatsby, and how Fitzgerald portrayed the pristine moment when "men and women beheld the new world as a fresh, untouched place, a virgin world, a place where the future is open and green" (Leopold 534). Times have changed and the quote from Fitzgerald may seem too idealistic, people must remember how beautiful this world was before it was contaminated with the effects of technologies.
