The Door.

The door was painted a bright red at one point, though these days you can barely tell. The harsh weather and heat of the southwestern sun had taken its toll on the once vibrant door leaving it now to be left in disregard by the owner. …exterior? Or, does it lack in upkeep like the door? Does the resident care more about what people think regarding his appearance than his actual thoughts and feelings. Then you realize that this door, this lawn, the shutters, siding and gardens are but a mere speck in relation to what this world has to offer. You reach the realization that it doesn't matter if this persons door is not maintained, so, you continue walking past.
