Summary: This chapter starts out with Little Tree looking into the stream and studying frog eggs and a bug called a musk bug. The musk bug is a small bug that excretes a sweet and thick smelling odor. Granma likes sweet smelling things so Little Tree gave them to her. Granma said that Granpa was moving closer to becoming more understanding with his spirit mind and Little Tree asked Granma if he could do that to. Granma said in a while he would and Little Tree decides that he doesn't care anymore about getting ahead. He just wanted to understand things and so the chapter ends.
