The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby <Tab/>The Great Gatsby was originally called "Under The Red, White, and Blue," because it symbolizes the flag of America and the American people's dreams. You can see this symbolism through the whole book. There is a difference in classes of people. Having too much money or not enough money seems to bring the characters to an immoral way of life. This immoral way of living seems to
husband coming after the man who stole her away from him. Gatsby gets killed in his pool by mistake. The book ends with Gatsby's funeral which Daisy never attends. And finally all the other characters seem to go back to their lives like nothing ever happened. <Tab/>I thought this was a sad book. It shows that immorality just ruins lives. I'd much rather read a happier book showing happier people.
