John Steinbeck was born on February 27, 1902. He was born in Salinas, California and was the third of four children. His parents were John Ernst and Olive Hamilton Steinbeck. …take over someone you have captured him or her but you have not destroyed their spirit. I noticed that every one of Steinbeck's books involves a guy who is troubled and the ending is always sad. Despite this point I would highly recommend this book and any of Steinbeck's novels. They all have one literal meaning and they also have one spiritual meaning. All the books I have read by Steinbeck were all pretty good.
